| Golf Course Closure The golf course will be closed at NOON on Thursday January 28th in order for us to solid tine vent the greens, and apply a fertilizer/pre-emergent herbicide to the fairways, tees and rough. This time of year when the greens tighten up due to the cold weather and compaction from foot traffic and machinery, solid tine venting is a very important practice that we perform. It helps the turf health tremendously as it allows air and moisture to pass through the surface and down to the roots. This process will not effect ball roll and will ensure that the greens stay healthy through the winter months. The fertilizer/pre-emergent herbicide that we will be applying will give the turf the nutrients that it needs to thrive this time of year, and the herbicide kills any weed seeds that are present before they are able to germinate.
